SPN Meta: Demon Thinky Thoughts

So this really needs to be considered, I think; as I'm pretty sure it means something, I'm just not sure what.

Demon Thinky Thoughts

Many fen are assuming Lilith is the name of a Demon, not a child. Many fen are also assuming the manifestation of Lilith in a child form is a cheap horror show trick of "evil demon child" rather than something else. I'm not sure either of those is accurate.

The Demon who told Sam there was another up-and-comer in the game who was after Sam's blood made it sound like the new kid in town (see, there's a lyrics joke I'm going to be elegant enough to let you make for yourself) was direct competition for him as the boy king, leader of the demon army. Equally, the chick in Sin City told Dean that there were demon's jockeying for position to take over the void of power left behind by the YED's demise.

So here's the deal. Lilith's eyes turned PURE WHITE. Like Meg's eyes turned PURE BLACK. And Sammy-possessed-by-Meg's eyes turned PURE BLACK. But the YED? and John possessed by the YED? Only the irises were yellow. And all three of the REDs at the crossroads? Again, only the irises turned red.

That has to mean something, doesn't it? It has to indicate a different kind of possession if the whites of the eyes stay the whites of the eyes, and only the iris takes on the demonic coloration, right?

And more importantly, if the YED could accomplish what he was looking to accomplish in terms of destroying the world, why did he need a human who could lead his demon army? Why didn't he lead it himself? There's a reason for that. As of yet unrevealed, but still a reason ... and the "needs a human to cross iron" thing is nothing but a red herring. That was a misdirect because if that was they ONLY reason the YED needed a human to control, he could have threatened ANYbody into doing that by using the chewy intestine line. But he needed a special kid with pyschic powers. Why? According to Ava, so you can control the demons in the army.

So technically ...

That makes Lilith one of the children like Sammy. And it makes her an actual human child rather than an adult; and NOT because they are playing horror games of the "evil child demon" ilk, but rather because Sammy is the last survivor of his generation of KLU (Kids Like Us) so the up-and-comer to take his place would need to be of the next generation of KLU that the YED refered to and that was put to demonstration in Salvation. The clear implication from the YED in AHBLpt1 was that there were several generations of KLU that factored into his plans, and Sammy was only one. So Lilith is Gen2? And Rose will be Gen3?

And along that same lines ...

Ava commanded demons to do her bidding. She usurped THEIR free will to bend it to her own. That seemed to be the "revelation" intended about why Sammy and the KLU needed to be psychic, right? So ... if Lilith were a DEMON, she can't go after Sammy without running the risk that Sammy can control her, ala Ava, right? Which is where little human, KLU Lilith comes in. Because if the unnamed Demon who is currently on top in the jockeying for position to fill the YED's void wants her own champion, than the logical course of action is to possess one of the KLU because Sammy can't control a HUMAN KLU (ala Andy ... "I don't know why your power doesn't work on me, Andy," Sammy says, "but it doesn't ... apparently we can't control each other with our psychic gifts."), only DEMONs.

Now THAT makes sense for why the YED needed several generations of KLU, right? Because if he wanted to control the will of other demons (probably why the other demons don't have any problem seeing him fall ... his goal was to enslave them to his own agenda and they wouldn't like that much), he would need a KLU to do it, and he could possess any KLU himself, if necessary, to deal with any other KLU because the KLUs can't control one another while they can, theoretically, control the YED, as he is a demon.

So perhaps Sam's TRUE purpose was intended to be the YED's boy king AND his vessel, thus making the YED impervious to anyone's control, Demon or otherwise. And that plays to why he wanted a beauty pageant to eliminate all other contestants, too ... he wanted the strongest vessel for himself, and he wanted to eliminate any other potential vessels for other demon's to take in order to avoid being dominated by his (in the vessel of Sammy ) will ... something it couldn't do in demon form, or in possesed human form, but it COULD do if it possessed a KLU that Sammy couldn't control and the YED couldn't control.

See where I'm going here?

So the idea that Lilith's eyes turned pure white ...

To me, that says:

1) Lilith is a KLU possessed, not a demon

2) The demon possessing her intends to remain nameless just as the YED did because AN EXCORCIST KNOWING A DEMON'S NAME ALLOWS THE EXCORCIST TO COMMAND THE DEMON TO LEAVE ITS HOST, knowledge of their true name being the trump card in any exorcism, so why in the HELL would that demon be known by its own name? so casual with that power demon's protect at all cost that Ruby can rattle it off like any other name? And it bears pointing out that Ruby never said the demon's name was Lilith, she said the up and comer's name was Lilith. So if the up-and-comer is a KLU and not a demon ...

3) The demon possessing Lilith is of the lower class of demons like the black smoke demons, or else she would have only turned Lilith's iris's white (which is the trump in the "white" here, because did she just turn the irises white to match they whites? or did she change the whole eye, as it appeared, by the way they articulated the effect visually?) the way the RED and the YED do when they possess a vessel.

All of which leads me to this conclusion:

The demon possessing Lilith is one of the Legion, the soldier demons, the black smoke demons who change the entire eye, not just the iris. And in possessing the "up and comer" Lilith, it is trying to fill the void left by the YED (get an evil promotion, so to speak) by mounting its own coup using the resources the YED put in place for his own "I'm going to control all the demons into one army with me in command" plan to dominate the world, both demon and human.

So when Ruby says, "Based on the level of destruction, smart money's on Lilith," she is actally saying, "Based on the level of destruction, the smart money is on Sammy," only she's using Gen2 Sammy, who is Lilith. Not the demon Lilith, but the psychic KLU Lilith whose special skill is commanding fire the way Andy could push and Sammy can see the future. And the demon possessing Lilith is the current soldier trying to take over the throne. But if they kill that demon (send it back to hell, whatever), then another demon could try to do the same thing, using Lilith or perhaps even Rose, or any of the KLUs in either of their generations (since Sammy's generation is all gone).

So herein lies the rub in terms of what I haven't figured out as to how they might play to this theory:

Sammy's generations power didn't kick in until they turned 22. So why is Lilith's power available now?

Is it because the YED was suppressing Sammy's generations power until he was ready to put his plan into motion? Until John had trained Sammy to a place where he felt Sammy was ready to be his vessel? This would explain why Lilith can access her power now ... because there is no one around to suppress it, so the soldier demon turning Lilith's eyes white might be accessing that power in a raw state and controlling it him/herself because Lilith, as a KLU, doesn't have the power to command the demon not to use her that way.

Or running with that, perhaps the YED started the beauty pageant at 22 because that's when the KLU's power comes under their own control. So he could have possessed any of the KLU's prior to that age and accessed its power himself (as the soldier demon is doing with Lilith), but that would have outed his plans to the other demons, so the YED waited for the KLUs to ripen to an age where they could access their powers themselves before putting plan into motion. In this way, he keeps from tipping his hand to his rivals (other demons he plans to enslave to his own will) and allowing them to get hold of one of the KLUs for themselves, thus screwing him up in being the sole owner of all power on Earth. And in addition to eliminating their potential vessels by starting the pageant at 22, he accesses the KLUs at their ripened age when they are invulnerable to the control of other KLUs. Which mean ...

Lilith can be controlled by Sammy. Because he's ripe, and Lilith isn't. So Sammy can command the demon inside Lilith by controlling both the demon and Lilith ... something he, alone, is capable of doing because all the other ripe KLUs are dead. And something the YED had planned for to keep it from happening; but that the soldier demon possessing Lilith either doesn't realize or does realize but can't do anything about because he/she can't take the time to wait for Lilith to ripen. The struggle for power is going on NOW, ignited by the YED's removal. The opportunity is NOW, not in however many years it will take Lilith to ripen. So NOW is when the soldier demon has to act to co-op the YED's original plan to his/her own ends. Which certainly would explain why he/she is after Sam so doggedly. Because Sam, being the only ripe KLU left, is the only one capable of screwing it up by being able to control both demons and KLUs until Lilith becomes ripe enough to be impervious to the influence of another KLU.

So there you have it: some demon thinky thoughts. Because there is no way in HELL that it isn't something they've considered in making one kind of possession turn the entire eye a color, while another kind of possession only turns the iris the color. That has to mean something. And the YED also has to have had a better reason than crossing iron to need a human to serve as his boy king. He needs a more compelling reason to go to all the work he went to in order to aquire Sammy at 22 and as a sole surviving KLU.

And all this certainly plays into the prophecy that it all comes down to Sammy, eh? Because if Sammy can't stop this demon that has Lilith, then no one ever will because the demon would have until Lilith's KLU's generation turned 22 to hunt them all down and remove them, thus eliminating the potential for any other demon to use them to thwart his/her plan for total domination of both demons and humans.
